  • As the world’s population grows at an unprecedented rate, farmland acreage and artisanal water sources continue to diminish.

Long-term food and water security is a critical concern. To feed our rapidly growing population, smart agro companies will move. to the forefront to offer their resources, productivity, and efficiency

  • While farmers are being challenged to produce exponentially more with less land, they also must do so amidst a changing climate and increasingly scarce natural resources.

This trend drives up the value of farmland, while also highlighting the need for more sustainable farming methods.

  • Investments in farmland and agriculture are funding the upgrades and transitions necessary for growers to incorporate high-tech and sustainable approaches, such as regenerative agriculture, to help ensure a healthy planet and long-term food security for all, as well as increasing efficiencies, scale, and lowering reliance on rain or weather conditions.

  • More consumers than ever are demanding traceability in their food purchases, and opting for plant-based alternatives as a larger portion of their overall diet. This trend is especially strong in younger consumers, who are the shoppers of tomorrow.

The fresh fruit marketplace is enjoying a surge in consumer demand post-covid, which is fuelled by consumer’s overall desire to eat better and be more conscious in their purchase and meal decisions.

  • Green Bonds work like regular bonds with one key difference: the money raised from investors is used exclusively to finance projects that have a positive environmental impact, such as sustainable farming, projects with positive social impact, and green developments. Some Green Bonds also have a convertible component, where at maturity they can be cashed out, or converted to equity into the project, usually with a preferred premium
    added.

With countries around the world stepping up their efforts to reduce carbon emissions, and increase sustainability, the market for green bonds is booming.

Goldenberry Farms adheres to guidelines called “the Green Bond Principles,” which have been endorsed by the International Capital Market Association to help bring transparency to the market.

  • Environmental, social and governance criteria, or ESG, is a framework companies use to evaluate their sustainability. • ESG, or environmental, social, and governance investing, is a way to build a more ethical portfolio.

Aside from having a more sustainable investment portfolio, ESG has other compelling benefits including an increase in consumer awareness, the potential for higher returns, the potential for significant tax credits, and an overall increase in goodwill.

In today’s marketplace, many brands can monetize this goodwill to become more coveted by retailers. Consumers see more value and are willing to pay a small premium for sustainably sourced goods - creating a potential “chain of profitability” that benefits all involved, including workers, consumers, and shareholders.

GREEN BONDS

In today's economic landscape of rising inflation and a volatile stock market, real assets with stable, contracted cash yields are essential for a diversified investment portfolio.

Our ESG (environmental, social, and governance) portfolio provides an opportunity to participate in the sustainable food industry, with the advantage of diversification across international markets, offering long-term revenue streams that are designed to exceed inflation rates and build capital. This strategy supports a resilient investment approach, providing stability and growth in uncertain financial environments.
